The Corvallis High School Band Program is excited to announce the following Band Members have been invited to participate at Pacific University's Music In May event.  These Musical Athletes were selected from thousands of applicants !

Corvallis High School Wind Ensemble - Marcia Stevens, Director

Bio:  Marcia J. Stevens  A native of Boston, Massachusetts, she is the Director of Bands at Corvallis High School, where she conducts the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band and Percussion Ensemble.  Ms. Stevens earned a Bachelor of Music in Education degree with high distinction from the University of Rhode Island (Kingston) and a Master of Science in Music and Performance Conducting degree from  Portland State University.  She has studied conducting with Edward Higgins, Jack Stamp, Frank Wickes, Linda Moorhouse, Christopher Chapman, Kirt Saville and Rodney Winther.  Professional organizations include Women Band Directors International, Oregon Band Directors Association, Oregon Music Educators Association and NAFME.  She is an honorary member of Tau Beta Sigma honorary band sororirty.  Ms. Stevens' career accomplishments are many and varied including teaching positions in New England, Japan (Department of Defense Schools) and Oregon, where she has consistently produced award winning Concert and Jazz Band programs.
